Triangle Approach

Whilst the previous approaches make use of two vectors the triangle approach consists of three legs of about 30 seconds each:
  1. Sail over the line and set off around the committee boat on a beam reach
  2. Jibe onto a broad reach (possible around the bargers)
  3. Harden up for a close hauled approach to the line
The main advantage is that the turns are easier and that you can easily fine tune the approach by cutting some of your corners (creating more of a circle than a triangle).
